About Us

Our Journey together began 11 years ago. We were immediately drawn to each other because of our shared interests in laughing, having fun, being outdoors, and traveling. The foundation of our relationship is based on respect and trust for each other as well as for others. It is important to us to share these qualities with our child.

Our Wedding was in 2003. Though we had been together for six and a half years already, we felt it was important to share our love for and commitment to each other with our family and friends. The ceremony itself was in an historic courthouse, as you would expect for two attorneys. What a wonderful outpouring of love and support we had from family and friends as we said "I do."

Our Home is warm and inviting with a large, fenced backyard perfect for a swing set. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet with lots of children. We have lived here for five years. The evening stroller parade is waiting for us to join them, especially since we walk our dog, Joey, each night. Everyone already knows Joey and they are excited to meet our child.

For Fun, we love to travel and most recently have been to Costa Rica, San Francisco, and the Grand Canyon. We especially like being outdoors, hiking, and relaxing at the beach. We can't wait to hear our child's excited squeals the first time he or she builds a sand castle and runs in the gentle waves at the beach. We also enjoy going to museums and Broadway shows in New York and cannot wait to take our child to the Big Apple. 

As Parents

Aspects of child rearing that are important to us include love, communication, and consistency. We hope to instill in our children respect for themselves and others, self-confidence, empathy, and open-mindedness. Education is extremely important. We want to expose our children to a wide variety of interests - music, art, literature, dance, languages, sports - and encourage them to pursue their dreams. We look forward to enjoying Atlanta's many cultural opportunities with our child. Seeing the joy in our child's eyes watching the puppets at the Center for Puppetry Arts will be a treat. We believe that learning can be fun and are looking forward to taking Spanish lessons with our child.

Our hope is that our children will always be able to talk with us about their joys, hopes and dreams, sorrows and problems. That they will be happy in whatever endeavors they choose to undertake. That they will make a difference, be it in big or small ways.
